Star Citizen X56: A Pilot's Perspective (and Mine!)
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." This game, Star Citizen, is a pretty darn long journey, isn't it? And the X56 is just one piece of it.
What is the X56?
The X56 is a spacecraft. A cool one. You can fly it. It's important to space travel.
Key Features:
- Excellent for exploration.
- Maneuverable for close-quarters action (dogfights).
- Powerful weapons (guns!)
- A pretty awesome cockpit, and you get to pilot this thing!
- It feels awesome to fly (in my opinion!).
Why the Buzz?

Many players, and many, many people on forums and on the web praise Star Citizen for lots of reasons. They like that it looks very good in a sci-fi way, too! Some reviews say its a top flight sim that feels just like real piloting! But it's not finished, not fully yet, which is okay. That's where you get in, right?
Other Reviews/Comments
- "The atmosphere is great and, the feeling that it's almost fully fledged, that's so cool," one user on a Star Citizen forum.
- "A big-budget, futuristic sci-fi title."

Gameplay Experience: My Take (My First Time!)
The first time I flew this X56 thing, well, I was amazed! I felt like I was actually a pilot in space. You can feel that kind of atmosphere while flying around. That feeling is real for me, honestly. My eyes went wide. That's real amazing (right?)
My First Flight
- Controls: Simple to grasp (just need to know which button to hit) (which helped me so much)
- Looks: The game's X56 has great visuals, awesome view (I could see in the distant). This is one thing about games, that you want your spacecraft to look really, really well!
- Flying Feel: Man, the way it responded was awesome (as my friend said!), it was awesome to control (and you can really feel your moves and see that impact, I loved that part)!
- Overall Impression: I'd recommend the X56, without any doubt (but wait!)

Potential Drawbacks: The Dark Side
Sure, it looks amazing. It feels great. However, it's not perfect. Let's face it, no product is.
Aspects Requiring More Effort
- Performance Issues: Some players complain that performance fluctuates (which can make flying feel clunky), that the way the engine works, is a downside for some, to them
- Not Everything Works Fully: The game hasn't fully caught up in every space with the full space map (this was hard to follow), and all features aren't open for usage yet (sometimes this was frustrating).

Questions and Thoughts
- Is this spacecraft really useful, as advertised? (Is this important to the overall experience) I have my doubts!
- How much effort needs to be put into each thing to really become usable? I wonder about this part, a lot.
- Will the full space-scape ever be worth it (will the map matter)? I hope so!
- How about the long-term future? Will Star Citizen become the best game ever? The reviews and the forums indicate a large and dedicated community supporting the future.
- Does the difficulty and performance problems put players off? (Personally I think there are improvements they can make and more things that they should add).
Comparing to Other Spaceships (Is the X56 any better?)
Some players compare it to other games that simulate space and spaceships in other video games. Let's check out the competition, eh? I'll need more time in these, but the X56 feels pretty good!

Final Thoughts (What will we see tomorrow? Tomorrow's world)
The Star Citizen X56, overall? Well, it has a lot to offer (or at least for a game in progress). Its performance needs work. It could be better and could feel even more exciting in a finished product! Maybe these shortcomings make the excitement even higher for the game to become something unique.
Conclusion (My final view):
The X56, though not complete, is promising. (This may be controversial but, at least it looks good). I find that it is fun. I would encourage all of you to experience it, because, man, I mean…
Is it worth all of the hype and discussion? It may be the case in a future game (like this X56). So just have fun trying! The universe waits for no man (that's what my mom used to tell me!).
